Editor,

I want to thank the Restoration Evangelical Church of Remera for renovating eight family homes in Kimironko under the church’s new Restoration Voice Program aimed at improving social responsibility.

According to The Sunday Times, about 100 Christians from the church, including qualified civil engineers, are currently taking part in the exercise.

The team from the church will fix the ceilings, windows, doors and ventilators.

While teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ is all well and good, sometimes its better that churches actually go out into the community and solve actual problems other than merely praying for solutions.

This spirit, of civic responsibility, is being shown by Restoration Evangelical Church. I’m now calling on the different churches to, similarly, go out into the different neighborhoods in the country and practically bring a change into the peoples lives.

Thank you Restoration Evangelical Church for showing the way.
