While it’s true that Rwandan motorists aren’t suffering as much as the rest of motorists in the region, I’m pleased that the government isn’t sitting back and waiting for the ‘inevitable’ to happen.
It has acknowledged that the fuel shortages are a looming threat, and according to officials, discussions are going on to mitigate it.
I’ve read reports that indicate that motorists in Uganda and Kenya are braving fuel shortage largely attributed to the rising world crude oil prices.
In fact, I was in Uganda the other day. On a single day I saw a fuel station raise its prices twice. That is madness.
The prices here are already high, I feel, and I hope that the government comes up with a solution quickly. Save us from the rising fuel prices.
