VISION Youth Group, one of Rwanda’s football academies, has concluded a three-day tour in Uganda where they played a series of friendly matches with Uganda’s Proline academy. The academy’s head coach Kassim Rugamba believes the tour was a learning curve for the group.

The academy’s head coach Kassim Rugamba believes the tour was a learning curve for the group.
"The tour was a success and proved to us that we can develop into a formidable side in the near future,” Rugamba said of the academy which was founded by John Bosco Birungi.
The U-13 side was held to a goalless draw while the U-14s lost out 1-2 against a more mature and stout Proline’s U-17 side.
Proline academy is a brain child of former Ugandan international Mujib Kasule who now coaches Nalubaale FC, one of the top sides in the Uganda Super league.
The Ugandan academy assumed international acclaim in 2008 when they hosted England and Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand and his brother Anton Ferdinand who features for Sunderland.
