Preparations for Miss Riviera Secondary School have come in full gear, just after Green Hills Academy crowned its Mr. and Miss, last week.
Nine entrants are all set to battle for Miss Riviera 2010 crown. Sources say that the contestants are spending sleepless nights practicing for the catwalk, and thoroughly researching on possible questions that the judges might ask to test their intellectual capability.
According to Yannick Murayire, the vice-president of Riviecci Club which organised the event, the Miss Riviera title holder will be the ambassador of the school, on top of enjoying a bunch of privileges, including cash prizes, a one-year saloon contract and a whole year of free meals from the school’s canteen.
"We intend to take the Miss Riviera beauty competition to a higher level,” Mugenzi told The New Times, adding that, "It’s going to be annual event.”
The event will take place on April 31, at the school’s main hall. Plenty of entertainment from locally renowned artists has been promised. The entrance fee is Rfw 3000 only.
