ETINCELLES closed the gap on reigning champions and table leaders APR with a 2-0 win over AS Kigali in one of five Primus National Football League games played on Saturday.

Jean de Dieu Harolimana and Mohammed Ngabonzima were on target for the Western Province side, which is now level with APR (39 points) although the latter enjoys a superior goal difference.

Emmanuel Ruremesha also enjoyed a good start to his new career as Rayon Sport coach after leading the Blues to a 2-0 win over beleaguered Musanze.

Abubaker Sibomana and Theoneste Muhayimana scored the goals to take the side to 35 points.

In Huye, Mukura beat visitors Police 1-0 courtesy of Jules Rurangwa’s lone strike while Electrogaz out-muscled Amagaju 3-2 at Kicukiro turf.

Jimmy Mbaraga, Simon Nyamugenda and Innocent Habyarimana found the net for Electrogaz while Pablo Nduwimana scored a brace for the strugglers.
