According to Mugambagye one of the three permanent burial sites located at Kashenshero in Rakai District.
"The 16th commemoration of the 1994 Rwanda Genocide against the Tutsi will be held at Kashenshero where some of the remains of nearly 11,000 victims will be reburied,” he said.
He added that the remaining two sites will be ready next month.
"The remains will be exhumed from their temporary graves on the shores of Lake Victoria and be reburied in the three permanent graves,” Mugambage noted.
During the 1994 Genocide, victims were dumped in Nyabarongo and Kagera rivers and washed down into Lake Victoria.
The bodies were buried in several mass graves in Masaka, Rakai and Mpigi districts in Uganda, but were not accorded a decent burial.
