AFTER losing their previous two league ties against reigning champions APR and College of Gisenyi, Kigali Volleyball Club (KVC) are desperate to make amends this afternoon when they encounter a revamped National University of Rwanda (UNR) side in Huye.

With 16 points, UNR are just two points adrift of table leaders APR and KVC know that the varsity side will be no push overs at their backyard.

"We have not prepared well for the game so we don’t want to say a lot but one thing for sure is that UNR are enjoying a good run and will go down fighting if they have to,” KVC’s head coach Jean Marie Nsengiyumva conceded.

His opposite number Fidele Nyirimana is also cautious of the tie.

"In recent meetings, KVC has been giving us problems and we don’t expect that to change this Saturday but we are prepared to fight.”

APR on the other hand have room to increase their lead at the top when they take on beleaguered debutants GSOB at Camp Kigali.

Else where, former table leaders UNATEK (14 points) hosts St. Joseph, KIE host Christ Roi (CXR) while PSB and College of Gisenyi face-off in Huye.
