ETINCELLES have a good chance to close the gap with reigning champions and table leaders APR when battle AS Kigali this afternoon at Mumena stadium.
The Western Province side that has garnered 36 points from 18 games is three points off the pace and only a point adrift of 2007 champions Atraco and knows that a win today leaves them joint-top although APR enjoy a superior goal difference.
"It is a must win game for us as we try to get back to the top of the table. We have had some inconsistent runs lately but we have put that behind us,” Etincelles Coach Abdul Bizimana said.
On the other hand, AS Kigali, who have failed to find their footing since Eric Nshimiyimana’s departure to APR, are expected to give their all as they plot to finish clear of the relegation zone.
The Kigali city council side who are four-points clear of the relegation zone will seek inspiration from last week’s 3-2 win over Kiyovu Sports.
