After Tuesday’s loss to Bayern Munich, Manchester United’s chances of making it to the semi-finals in the Champions League were written off by every Arsenal fan I met.

Regardless of the drama at the Allianz Arena, Man. United is known for capitalizing on their away goals to kill of opponents. Roma was on course to eject United out of the competition in 2007 until Rooney got an away goal.

The return leg at Old Trafford saw Roma swallow 7 goals.
The only way United can be written off is when they have a two or more goal deficit like they did against Real Madrid in 2003 or when they concede an away goal in the first leg, like they did against AC Milan in 2007.

As for now, Bayern Munich is in the same danger that many teams have met on their return leg at the Theatre of Dreams.
