ROGER Tchouassi continued to prove why he would be a valuable addition to the national side ‘Amavubi Stars’ after scoring twice to gift Police a 2-1 victory over Primus National Football league title contenders Atraco at Nyamirambo’s regional stadium.

The brace moved his goal tally to 15, five clear of his closest golden boot challenger Bokota Labama, whose season came to an abrupt end after being kicked out by APR on grounds of indiscipline.

The score-line also dented Sam Timbe’s hopes of clinching his first league title.

The defeat kept the taxi-men side on 37 points, two points adrift of reigning champions APR.

At Mumena, SC Kiyovu failed to leave up to their pre-match hype as they went down 2-3 against a well organized Electrogaz side.

Despite a brace from former APR striker Eric Serugaba, strikes from Baguma Hamisi, Jimmy Mbaraga and Simon Kibangira were enough to earn Electrogaz maximum points.
SC Kiyovu remained in fifth place with 31 points, one clear of Police and seven above Electrogaz.

The league continues this Saturday when Mukura host Police at Huye grounds. Kiyovu play away to Marines at Umuganda stadium while the Blues host struggling Musanze at Nyamirambo’s regional stadium.

At Mumena, Etincelles lock horns with AS Kigali while Electrogaz host Amagaju at Kicukiro stadium.
