In The New Times of Tuesday, March 30, there was an article about 30 women who had completed an entrepreneurship course.

This is an impressive initiative considering the role of women in our society today. By giving women entrepreneurship skills, they will become more independent, more financially stable therefore contributing to the wellbeing of their families.

Research has indicated that in homes where women contribute financially, there is more stability. More women should, therefore, be encouraged to enroll for such courses and also take advantage of the opportunities that the Government of Rwanda has put in place to empower women.

And, those who have the opportunity to get the skills should share their knowledge with other women. It is through collective efforts that the benefits of women empowerment can be maximized.
