The retreat that attracted 22 officials from various courts in the country is intended to come up with solutions to the challenges facing the judiciary.

The retreat that attracted 22 officials from various courts in the country is intended to come up with solutions to the challenges facing the judiciary.
"All levels here are represented to plan for our institution by getting involved in designing budget, laying strategic plan, while attempting to get solutions to the challenges we face,” Johnson Busingye, the High Court president said.
He said having digital archives and court rulings on line are among their plans this year.
"We are on course with the computerization programme within the judiciary. We are currently installing machines and training users so that we can go digital this year,” Busingye added.
According to Anne Gahongayire, the Secretary General of the Supreme Court, the public should hold the judiciary accountable when ‘we fail to give them services they need.’
