Ritver paints, an Italian painting and architectural coatings firm have entered the Rwandan market with an investment worth ($120,000) Rwf67.8 million.

"We have set up a showroom where we will avail our products to Rwandans in the construction industry,” said Nicholas Lugonjo the country representative

The company will sell product such as texture paints, decorative finishers and standard immersion among others.
Lugonjo also they said that they offer quality products with durability ranging between 5- 7 years.

Ritver offers more than 33 products with over 4,000 colors that are environment friendly working on interior and exterior designs, walls, ceilings, floors, metal work and woodwork.

"we will have the cheapest prices on the market between Rwf15,000 of emersion painting to Rwf60,000 of architectural paintings in 20 liter jerry can,” added Lugonjo.

The painting company that has presence all over the world is operating in the regional countries such as Uganda and Kenya with plans to start business in both Burundi and Goma DRC.   

Among other services that ritver will provide include free color coordination, interior decoration and technical advice regarding painting.

"We also want to sponsor the architectural association to develop it and introduce it to world market,” explained Lugonjo.

However, according to lugonjo, the challenge will be the people adapting to the new product and the competition that exists on the market.
