Locally renowned gospel artist, Julius Kalimba has urged his fellow gospel musicians to stand firm and develop the music industry. This comes after Kalimba, who has been in the industry for seven years, observed that more gospel singers are quitting gospel music and turning into secular since its more profitable.

This comes after Kalimba, who has been in the industry for seven years, observed that more gospel singers are quitting gospel music and turning into secular since its more profitable.
"Rwanda’s gospel artists should be contented and mindless about the economic benefits, because the God they serve is rich and will never forsake them,” Kalimba said.
He added that; "they shouldn’t easily give up since every dog has its day. What is important is to keep on chasing after your dream.”
"Patience pays and there are many successful examples, for example; Uganda’s gospel artists Wilson Bugembe and Judith Babirye have made it” he said.
