NYAGATARE - On Friday night, a crowd of fans who had gathered for The Ben’s live concert left agitated when he didn’t turn-up.
The night was filled with drama at Green Land Bar and Restaurant, Nyagatare and almost turned into a war zone. Fans attacked the concert organisers when The Ben didn’t show up. He was supposed to perform alongside the ‘Urban Boys’.
"Imagine, we bought the tickets and we’ve been waiting for hours, these organisers are really mean!” said a furious fan who preferred anonymity.
He added: "I’m sure they knew that The Ben wasn’t coming. They should have told us the bad news earlier instead of keeping us waiting in vain!”
Meanwhile, our reliable sources from the entertainment scene revealed that, The Ben had actually traveled to South Africa on Friday afternoon, with his fellow R&B artist Meddy.
The concert was organised by Jeannette Uwera, a traditional- Kinyarwanda songwriter/singer.
