A real estate firm, DN International, has announced plans to construct a commercial centre in Masaka sector, Kicukiro district.
This was revealed yesterday by Nathan Loyd, DN International’s CEO, during the community work carried out by over 30 DN International employees in Masaka village in Kicukiro district that involved planting trees along the road.
Loyd said the work valued at Rwf1 million was a symbol of giving back to the community by DN International.
"This is to show the community that we do not only construct estates, but we also look forward to beautifying the area surrounding the community and developing the area where our estates are,” said Loyd.
The commercial centres will include modern markets and super markets.
"You see this place is a bit far from town, so these commercial centres will help the community here to also save time, as the residents here will be getting every commodity without the need of going to Kigali City,” Loyd told The Sunday Times.
The commercial centres valued at over $100,000 about Rwf57 million will serve the 28 completed residential housing units worth $3.2million (about Rwf1.8 billion).
According to the management, the company plans to build over 154 apartments to bridge the current housing deficit that stands at 25,000 units.
DN International is a real estate development company operating in Rwanda, Burundi, and Kenya.
