Editor,
As a former student of KIST and now a proud member of its alumni, I want to congratulate the graduating class. Some of you have persevered for five years and now you have made it. Well done.

The graduation on Thursday was the Institute’s eighth ceremony and it saw a total of 501 students graduate in various disciplines

It is not the time however, to sit back on your laurels. Getting a degree isn’t the end of the line but rather the beginning of another journey.

This journey isn’t simply a five year one but one that will last the entire duration of your lives. Use your hard earned skills to make Rwanda a better place to live in. Build good roads and bridges.

Make relevant computer software that will help us become a regional ICT hub. Make sure those skills are used for the betterment of our country.
