Premier Model Agency (PMA) is slated to officially launch on Sunday, March 28, at Kigali Serena Hotel.

"We’re in preparations to launch the agency, and our main intention is to promote modeling in Rwanda and to give it the best quality,” Jean Claude Ndayishimiye, the founder of the agency said.

Ndayishimiye added that the culture of modeling in Rwanda is still very low, as some people associate it with sexual-related vices, like homosexuality and lesbianism.

"That’s absolutely untrue. Modeling has nothing to do with either of those. It’s a career just like any other profession,” Ndayishimiye said.

He added that "my agency hires disciplined models who have a good reputation to give the best to the public.”

Different designs from local fashion boutiques will be showcased in an event that will be celebrated under the theme: "Professional that exhibits visual.”

Tusker Project Fame 3’s Christian Rwirangira, who also models for Premier Model Agency, said that Rwanda’s celebrities ought to be creative and able to represent the country in all aspects.

Local gospel artists, as well as stand-up comedians including Iwacu Music, Aime, The Sisters, Christian and humorist Atom, will grace the event.

Gates will be at 6 p.m—entrance at Rwf 10,000.
Premier Model Agency was founded in August 2009, and it deals in different activities, including modeling, protocol, decorating, theatre, and web-design.
