Friday

7 p.m: Arn the Knight Templar (French)

In this lavish historical drama - set in the middle ages -Arn, the knightly son of a Swedish nobleman, must journey to the Holy Land on horseback as a sentence for taking up with a forbidden romantic partner.

The voyage carries him through the heart of the medieval world and into the core of the brutal and bloody Crusades.

9 p.m: Breaking Out (English)

Re-enacting the journey from the mainland to Alcatraz, some of Hip-hop and R&B’s biggest stars found themselves shackled and pushed onto a prison boat, surrounded by swarms of armed helicopters.

Once arriving at the former prison, they "broke out” and performed some of their greatest hits to benefit at-risk kids. Don’t miss this concert with its spectacular message: "Break Out, Go Straight, and Follow Your Dreams.”

SATURDAY

7p.m: The Black Dahlia (French).

The Black Dahlia is a 2006 crime film directed by Brian De Palma. The story is based on the murder of Elizabeth Short. The film had its world premiere as the opening film at the 63rd Venice Film Festival on August 30, 2006.

Sunday

7p.m: The Quiet (French).

The Quiet has been billed as an "erotic and suspenseful tale of sex, lies, and betrayal” — however, the film betrays viewers.

Writers Abdi Nazemian and Micah Scraft combine a deaf girl, a drugged mother, and a disgusting father-daughter relationship for the basis of this eerily discomforting and unmoving motion picture.

With that in mind, The Quiet is – at best – unpleasant in direction, weak in script, and worse to watch.
