WITH Rwf35m put aside for the remainder of this season, clubs expects huge cash prizes for outstanding teams.

Although the local football federation (Ferwafa) is yet to determine the specifics, it is obvious that the league champions and the runners-up will walk away with cash prizes at the end of this year’s Primus league.

Meanwhile, Rwf25m has also been put aside for a pre-season Primus tournament. This is all a product of a huge 3-year partnership deal (Rwf335m) which was signed last week between Rwanda’s leading brewers Bralirwa and Ferwafa.

The sum covers the remainder of this season as well as the 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 seasons.

The 2010/2011 season will cost Rwf120m with participation and consolation costs increased to Rwf 45m. The pre-season Primus tournament will cost Rwf30m with the remainder going into administrative and publicity expenses.

The 2011/2012 Primus league season will cost Rwf130m with participation and consolation prize costs increased to Rwf50m. The pre-season Primus Cup will cost a tune of Rwf30m while the remainder will go into administration and publicity expenses.
