Now that Vanoil Energy Ltd, formerly known as Vangold, has announced that it has come to an understanding with the Ministry of Infrastructure to enter into a definitive production sharing contract within six months, I hope that we shall hear good news from them.

With Vanoil continuing its exploration program in the country, especially in the area located over Lake Kivu which is believed to be the south-western extension of the Albertine Graben, I hope that we hit a substantial find.

Our energy needs would be met and our balance of trade payments would drastically improve. Cross your fingers.
