DESPITE being joint league leaders with reigning champions APR, Etincelles Coach Abdul Bizimana is convinced that many people do not view his team as realistic title contenders. The Western Province club is on level points (36) with APR, although the military side has played three games less but the title run in involves them playing against usual nemesis Mukura and four of the league’s top six sides in Etincelles, Atraco, Rayon Sport and Police; games which could go either way.

The Western Province club is on level points (36) with APR, although the military side has played three games less but the title run in involves them playing against usual nemesis Mukura and four of the league’s top six sides in Etincelles, Atraco, Rayon Sport and Police; games which could go either way.
On the other hand, Etincelles has to play APR, Atraco, AS Kigali and Electrogaz.
Bizimana insists that although many people do not give his team a chance of winning the league, he will not let that affect him or the squad.
"Many people have actually told me we can never win the league. They tell me that finishing in the top four is a realistic achievement for us, but that does not me.”
"We are determined to win all our games and see where we finish at the end of the day,” the 50-year-old said.
Etincelles are not in league action this weekend, because APR are preparing for their Orange Champions league return leg against TP Mazembe.
