Bralirwa sinks Frw8m in second division

THE second division league has not been left out of the huge partnership deal which was recently signed between Bralirwa and the national football federation (Ferwafa). According to Alexander Koch, Bralirwa’s commercial manager, the second division will get Rwf8m for the remainder of the season, but that will be all as they are not included in the budget for next season (2010/2011) and (2011/2012).

"We decided to give something to the second division, but our agreement with Ferwafa was specifically for the first division.

So the second division is not included for next season and the one after.” Koch said.

However, Ferwafa vice president Raoul Gisanura does not entirely agree with Koch. The Ferwafa official insists that they intend to include the second division in the three-year deal.

"We shall not isolate the second division. Bralirwa gave us the money and it is up to us to determine how we shall use it.”

After the regular season, the top two sides in the two groups; A and B, will advance to the playoffs where the top two will get promoted to the 2010/2011 Primus National League.

Nyanza and Muhanga top Group A and B respectively.
