NYAGATARE – The Rwanda Cooperative Agency (RCA) will soon help rural farmers in the country to sell their agricultural products to Inyange, Rwanda’s leading beverage industry.

The RCA director general, Damian Mugabo, revealed this in an interview with The New Times last week in Nyagatare district.

He said farmers’ produce has improved that require larger markets.

"We mobilised farmers to form cooperatives and unions. It has showed good results…there are cooperatives in the country harvesting a lot of produce like in Ngoma and Kirehe in this province,” he said. "We are planning to mobilise them to work with Inyange to sell their products.”
"Inyange is an industry with capacity to buy all their produce,” he added.

According to Mugabo, RCA started by mobilising farmers to produce quality products that will attract such buyers.
He urged farmers in Nyagatare district, the country’s large milk suppliers to prepare quality milk in order for the plant to buy its products.
