Take advantage of the 24 hr border operations

Editor, Like the English like to say, time is money. Allow me express my gratitude at the news that the Gatuna border post is operational 24 hours. Gone are the days when business people would have to wait for the sun to come up, offices to open and then the clearing of goods starts. That time spent at the border can now be used for something else. I thank the authorities for coming up with such innovative ideas. With 24 hour operations, more goods and people will move across the countries, therefore, increasing the amount of revenue.

Editor,

Like the English like to say, time is money.

It is such initiatives that will speed up economic growth and also encourage investments.

People can now take advantage of this development and not limit their time of movements. With both countries now secure, there is no need for travelers to fear moving at night.

And, instead of jamming the customs and immigration offices during the day, the increased hours of operation will reduce traffic at day time.

The list of advantages can go on and on. But what is key, is to take advantage of such initiatives, so that we can have similar adjustments at other border posts.
