Three Rwandan companies, yesterday took part in an exhibition organised to mark francophone day in Kampala, Uganda.
Inyange Industries, Rwandair, and The New Times exhibited their products to a crowd that included, Rwanda’s High Commissioner to Uganda, H.E Frank Mugambage and First counsellor Daniel Mutezintare.
The newspaper’s country manager, Simon Kayitana commended the exhibition saying that it has provided a platform to the newspaper.
"The New Times being one of the Rwandan products, it was absolutely an opportunity for us to show the world the services we offer,” Kayitana said.
"Since this paper is mainly known in Rwanda, we’re so much enthusiastic on informing the businesspeople in Uganda and the world, the investment opportunities that Rwanda can offer.
The exhibition also attracted exhibitors from Burundi, France, Italy, Canada, Belgium, Egypt and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The French embassy’s press attaché, Achilles Kiwanuka, said that the day is marked to express solidarity, unity and diversity among members of Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF).
