Living in the bustling metropolis of Mumbai, which is also the business capital of India, it is my firm belief that we can learn lessons from Kigali, particularly with regard to the very successful "Umuganda " programme generally held on the last Saturday of each month from 8:00 am.
A city, anywhere in the world, has its share of challenges. However, the manner in which Kigali city handles these challenges is exemplary.
The performance contracts which have just been signed will surely take Kigali to even greater heights in the days to come and will make it truly a Model City.
