Editor,

When competition becomes stiff, Rwanda’s telecom companies become loveable. With only three service providers; MTN, RWANDATEL and TIGO, more Rwandans are trying to figure out where to belong.

At a meager rate of Rwf10, TIGO is sweeping people off their feet, thanks to their captivating adverts.

For Rwandatel, more is to be desired as they give away free Rwandatel to Rwandatel calls to their subscribers starting from 6:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m.

These juicy offers have forced MTN to throw in their free Rwf500 airtime to some of their diligent subscribers. However, while others get the airtime, some are left wanting.

If MTN is giving free airtime, they should do it for all. I love this free airtime but I don’t want to be the only one jubilating while my friends look on wondering ‘why me?’ and not them.
