RUHANGO – Local leaders in Ruhango sector, Ruhango district have cautioned local defence personnel against misconduct.

Speaking at a meeting of the Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF), sector official, Jean Marie Nahayo, said some local defence personnel in the area had recently been abusing their responsibilities.

"We are appealing to residents and local leaders to collaborate in  ensuring  that this does not happen,” he said.

Epimaque Mpayimana, a party official said there was need for collective responsibility so as to identify rogue elements among the local defence personnel.

He added that misconduct among the local defence tainted the image of the local leadership.
