University students across the country, in partnership with the National Unity and Reconciliation Commission, have launched a campaign to sensitize secondary school students against Genocide ideology, through messages of unity and reconciliation.

The messages against genocide ideology are communicated by students in their respective clubs of Unity and reconciliation (SCURs) that are found in over 20 universities across the country.

The campaign, was launched recently at Nyamata High School and APPEBU Nyamata in Bugesera district by students of School of Finance and Banking (SFB).

Speaking to The New Times, the head of SCUR SFB, Etienne Bizimana, said they use relevant presentations, drama to help students focus their messages.

He said universities across the country have each selected secondary schools where they will sensitize the students.
They have urged students to resist hate messages and bond together for the future of the nation.
