It’s a proven  fact  the world over that, apart from education, sports investment can help a country develop. This fact is especially relevant in Africa where it’s not guaranteed that every child will access  formal education.
I believe that if Rwandan leaders choose to invest in building sports academies where young children can enroll and develop their talents, then we can achieve immeasurable heights.

First, these young men  and women will be able to make a living by playing professional sports, the national league will grow and be more competitive. This will help the country’s economy grow as well.

In the long run, clubs will be able to construct their own stadiums which in the end will help Rwanda host the Africa Cup of Nations one day or  even the World Cup.

There are very many poor countries whose economy and politics are not that attractive, but because they invested in sports; their people have something to look forward to.

And as you can see, the world is passionate about sports right now. If you look at most professional footballers, few of them have really attained what you can term  ‘formal education’ but because they were facilitated to develop their talents they became sucessful.

Rwanda can, and should do the same because it has many young people who are born with a lot of talent. Let it not go to waste.
