MUHANGA – Local authorities in Muhanga district have advised the Nyamabuye business community to be vigilant on security.
While meeting traders last week, the district Mayor, Yvonne Mutakwasuku, said, "All busy places should be lit and traders should prevent any illegal activities in their areas of business.”
Security officials advised the traders to employ security guards to guard their business premises.
"There is need for cooperation with business operators in order to prevent crimes,” the District Police Commander, Supt. Desire Tuyizere said.
The traders said that Police needs to take serious action against suspected bandits in the Gitarama Taxi Park and Jacques Plaza, where most illegal activities happen.
