RWANDA’S ace athlete Dieudonne Disi is struggling to shake off a hamstring injury ahead of next month’s Paris World marathon. The 29-year-old sustained the injury while running in the recent 21km Paris half marathon where he was forced to pull out.

Although Disi is back at his Eldoret training camp (Kenya), he says that his involvement in Paris will depend on how fast he recovers.

"Right now, I can’t say whether I will run or not because the decision is down to my physio. It’s true that I have started light training but it is very early to tell,” the athlete, who finished sixth in the February Puerto Rico half marathon, told Times Sport.

The 42-km Paris world marathon is slated for April 11.
Disi has also targeted the Delhi Commonwealth Games where he expects to compete in the 10,000m race.
