KIGALI - Parliament will over the weekend host a delegation of  ten Sudanese parliamentary clerks who will spend a week in Rwanda exchanging ideas and sharing experiences with their Rwandan counterparts.

The Director General of Communication and outreach, Augustin Habimana, said yesterday that the delegation will arrive in the country on a study tour where they expect to learn first-hand how the Rwandan parliament works.

"The ten clerks are all from Southern Sudan and are at the level of what we may call Secretary Generals here. They are here to share the experiences from their state and to get first hand, how things are done here,” he said

The delegation, which is expected in the country on Sunday, will among other things attend a general presentation on the structure and mandate of the Chamber of Deputies.

They will also be taken through presentations on the legislative services, general services, communication and outreach, ICT and thereafter be given a chance to debate on them.

The Sudanese delegation will also assist and work with three Permanent Committees and will thereafter attend a plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies.

They will also take trips to Southern Province where they will visit the Murambi Genocide Memorial Site, the national museum and Nyanza.

They will then travel to Rulindo, North Province where they will pay a visit to SINA Gerard enterprise  and then tour the city of Kigali.
