RAYON Sport coach Baptista Kayiranga has reassured club fans that the team is still in the title race. His comments come after receiving good support from the club management.

Kayiranga faced intense pressure from fans after Wednesday’s 1-0 defeat against Etincelles which left the Blues two points adrift of reigning champions APR, one short of Etincelles and one clear of today’s opponents Atraco.

However, Rayon’s Secretary General Olivier Gakwaya cooled the pressure by insisting that the club has no intention of sacking the 52-year-old even if he does not win the title.

Today, it is all on the line for Rayon and Atraco and Kayiranga reckons that fans should have confidence in the side.

"We are still involved in the title race so fans should not lose sleep. APR could be two points clear but they have some tough games coming up in Mukura, Atraco and ourselves (Rayon),” he reasoned before adding, "W should not forget that we are still in the MTN Peace Cup.”

Meanwhile, Atraco coach Sam Timbe yesterday down played the importance of this afternoon’s tie insisting that it is like any other league match.

He said "Rayon will not get any special attention from us tomorrow (today) because we treat every league game with equal measure.”

There are no injuries in both camps but Atraco defender Yahaya Serubungo is suspended after accumulating five yellow cards.

Elsewhere, Kiyovu play Mukura, Amagaju host Police, Etincelles entertain Marines while weaklings Musanze take on Electrogaz.
