Once or twice we all might have done a few things we aren’t proud of in the midst of a heinous breakup. The stress after breakups bring out the very worst in people and often cause regret, suffering, depression, psychological torture or even sicknesses.

Once or twice breakup desperation influences people to do the craziest things ever. Weeks back a headline read on the radio news was, "Woman tries to burn man in the house.” Why? Because he had broken up with her after cheating on her. 

Many will find this as a solution for their desperation after a long fight with a spouse. While others, become drunkards in order to forget their past. This is very common in both sexes though but the effects are sometimes devastating.

One anonymous female said, she over drunk herself when she broke off with her boyfriend and ended up in a one night stand.

Drinking usually takes away the stress. This was the case with Carol Umutoni.

"When I broke up with my boyfriend, I drunk myself stupid,” Umutoni said, however she adds that, "It’s was a terrible experience later because I almost got raped.”
Women, not only suffer after breakups but also the men go through awful consequences.

Umutoni said that when it comes to settling down after a breakup, men sometimes behave like kids. It doesn’t matter how strong they say they are; they drink or even become violent.

Then comes the provocative phones calls and text messages from exes. Every time a couple breaks up they freak out and start exchanging text messages like these:

"You meant nothing to me!, you are such a pig!, you loser!, I wish I never met!” and the list goes on until they burn out.

Lately with networks like facebook people makeup, break up, and provoke each other on the site. Emails are not an exception… This is all humor in the making.

Consequently, not letting go after a break up becomes traumatic. Last month in a Philippines magazine a report showed a girl who posted photos of herself naked on the internet because she had been dumped by his boyfriend. This was her last attempt to get back at her ex.

In extreme cases, an ex gets murdered. In Uganda, one female was raped and killed by her spouse after she had dumped him; this is enough to show how crazy break ups can become.

Nevertheless, breakups often negatively impact the lives of people and are very dangerous if not handled correctly.
