IN yesterday’s edition of The New Times, I was not much surprised to learn that some PS-Imberakuri party members disassociated themselves from its contested leader, Me Ntaganda Bernard. They accuse him among other things of “…being responsible for acts aimed at causing insecurity” referring to his own personal declarations that he has “…signed an agreement with Deo Mushayidi who already has (armed) forces…” And indeed, in a declaration by Deo Mushayidi pretending to be in Kinihira, Rwanda on 29th May 2009, he claimed that “…Uburyo bwo guhirika Kagame dukoresheje intwaro ntibwabura hari ubushake kandi burahari…” meaning that “… Means to topple Kagame using arms aren’t lacking when there is a will and it is there…”

Now the man is under police custody to answer terrorism charges among others, while his associate, Me Ntaganda, still under probe over divisionism by the Senate, must be trembling while awaiting his possible summon by the police to, I am tempted to say, be a prosecution witness and also clarify his association with terrorists.
But he must not be the only one wondering where to hide. His most publicized acolyte, Ms Victoire Ingabire must also be wondering to which gods, or devils for that matter, to turn to, now that one of theirs is most likely going to spill the beans about their not-so hidden doomed agenda for Rwanda and Rwandans.
Indeed as the Kinyarwanda adage goes; the days of a thief are forty, and I believe the magic number is nearing for Ms Victoire Ingabire and her other cohorts. But she should have known!
Indeed, a few weeks before she landed in Rwanda, the UN Security Council Report of Experts had listed her among the collaborators of the FDLR terrorist group against whom States were recommended to take action.
Or she indeed did know about the report but believed that their plans to destabilize Rwanda in the evil dream of toppling its leadership were so advanced that nothing could stop them.
Ms Ingabire’s very first step in the country was you remember a terrible mishap though a true reflection of her intent. She immediately visited the Genocide memorial where she uttered her years-old double genocide revisionist theories which prompted a general outcry by all sane people both within and outside the country.
According to Geoffrey York of the Canadian Globe and Mail who openly commiserates with her for her purported harassment by the government, "…It’s a potent appeal.
Many Hutus feel excluded from power, excluded from the best jobs and schools, and afraid to speak out. It was to them that Ms. Ingabire was deliberately appealing when she returned to Rwanda on January after 16 years in exile and made her controversial comments at the genocide memorial…
One would however wonder of which country he is talking about if the so-called journalist turned Ingabire’s propagandist had not inadvertently revealed his sources of information.
"…But she is backed by many of the Hutus who fled to Europe and North America during the Rwandan wars of the 1990s. She clearly has money and resources.”
He of course would not say that most of these so-called Hutus fled the country after participating in the 1994 Tutsi genocide, like his Assistant, Ntawangundi Joseph and her own mother, Ms Dusabe Tereza, who were respectively sentenced to 19 years and life imprisonment in absentia.
Indeed, this was another blow to Ms Ingabire’s evil minded projects. A few days after her arrival in the country, sharp minded people correctly sported her assistant, Mr. Joseph Ntawangundi, a convicted genocidaire condemned in absentia to 19 years by a Gacaca court for taking part in the 1994 Tutsi killings at a school he was running in the Eastern Province.
Ms Victoire was in her characteristic defense of all genocide convicts quick to decry the Rwandan authorities and this very paper, in a communiqué issued on 6th February, 2010 entitled "New Times, a judge and jury, exploiting forged Gacaca evidence, to make more victims.”
The communiqué aimed at portraying the Rwandan judicial system as of victimizing innocent people.
She even went further to claim with absolute confidence that "…He (Joseph Ntawangundi) never officiated in the education sector, in any capacity whatsoever. He has never been school director in Gitwe during the genocide…”
A few weeks later, the controversial Rwandan woman and self-imposing presidential candidate had to "eat her words”, as she in her capacity as leader of the subversive group, apparently forced by the overwhelming evidence, apologized for having lied in claiming that Joseph Ntawangundi was innocent, wasn’t in Rwanda during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi and never served as a School director in Gitwe.
The March 4, 2010 press release, however, did not change anything about the real intent of the controversial lady.
Her inner-self is proven by her messianic mission to save the other genocide convicts who, by their own will and interest, confessed and asked for forgiveness for the unspeakable crimes they committed against their Tutsi brothers and sisters.
Moreover, I find it selfish as is characteristic of her that she distances herself from her personal assistant and cannot do the same in the case of her own mother who did not only commit the genocide but also betrayed her profession as medical practitioner, by turning against her own female Tutsi patients and killing them in the medical center she was managing in Butamwa in Kigali.
Now her much trusted ally, contested PS-Imberakuri President, is not only questioned about his divisionist discourses, but is also accused of involvement in terrorist activities while her other virulent ally is in police custody where we believe he most certainly will not accept to drown alone.
Indeed as the Rwandan adage goes "the dog’s bush is burning” (Agahuru k’imbwa karahiye!).
