FRUSTRATED Musanze players yesterday stormed the district offices demanding for their pay checks.

The beleaguered top flight side that is languishing at the foot of the league table after managing only two wins in 15 outings has failed to pay its players for the last four months.

Last week, players boycotted their league game against Marines and had even threatened not to feature in last evening’s league tie against Atraco by press time.

"We are in a difficult situation. Most of us have been evicted from our houses over rent issues simply because the district has failed to honour their promises,” a sombre Musanze captain Adolphe Hakundukize said.

Players have urged the district to either pay their arrears or grant them release letters.

Last month, Thierry Hitimana resigned as head coach on grounds of no payments and now, care-taker coach Nshimiyimana fears the club could break down if something is not done soon.

The district vice mayor Pascal Butunge has urged residents to chip in funds claiming that the club budget had been surpassed.

The club is currently in need of Rwf16m.
