TITANS will feel hard done by Sunday’s defeat against Kigali Cricket Club (KCC) in the on-going RCA T20 tournament.

The debutants had the game in their grip until the final over when they fell three runs short at Kicukiro oval. Audifax Byiringiro’s man of the match performance (35 runs not out and two wickets) was in vain as Titans failed to sail home.

Batting first, KCC posted 102 runs in the allotted 20 overs after fine bowling from Sam Nkurunziza whose three wickets took his tally to six in two games.

Noorani Shezad top scored for the Indian dominated side with 18 runs. In reply, the youthful Titans’ side managed 99 runs thanks to disciplined bowling from Mohammed Jasat, Mehboob Jasat and Asif Jasat who claimed two wickets each.

Sunday’s win coupled with a draw from their first game against Young Tigers left KCC atop Group B with six points. Titans who opened their campaign with a win over Kicukiro College of Technology (KCT) are second on four points.

Young Tigers are third with two points while KCT, who are still chasing for their first point remain at the bottom.
