Talks are ongoing between Rayon Sports and forward Yousseff Rharb as the club pushes to lure the forward back, a source close to the club has told Times Sport.
The player enjoyed a short loan spell with the Blues when he joined from parent club Raja Casablanca on a one-year loan deal, in 2021.
"The club is in advanced talks with him [Youssef], the deal could be closed anytime,” the source said.
During his first spell, Rayon thought they had found a new hero. He quickly established himself among standout players to watch in every game ever since he arrived on loan from Raja Casablanca in September 2021. The youngster – he plays in Raja Casablanca’s under 23 squad – quickly adapted to life at Rayon where he teamed up with Cameroon’s Willy Leandre Onana. They formed a formidable attacking partnership that was too dangerous for opposing sides to handle.
However, Youssef’s relationship with the club quickly deteriorated. Reports suggested that he and fellow loanee Ait Lahssaine Ayoub were not happy with life at the club, citing salary delays and quality of food. This, reportedly, prompted the team to send them back to their parent club. The then club caretaker, Marcel Lomami, admitted that the club would miss his services despite the fact that the club was not ready to tolerate his indiscipline.
Youssef is obviously the player Rayon is missing as it continues to struggle for goals despite being at the top of the table.
