AS Kigali striker Mefya Hakizimana has vowed to help her club retain the league trophy by scoring fifty goals this season.

The Kigali council side hosts Rubavu this afternoon at Kicuriko artificial turf and in an interview with Times Sport, the diminutive striker says she is ready to net 50 goals if that’s what it takes for her team to defend the title.

"I’m in good form and enjoying myself at the club. My team mates are also playing well and if things stay this way, then we have a good chance of defending the title.”

Hakizimana, who joined the champions last season from Burundi, has scored 12 goals already making her the league’s top scorer. Her team mate Shadia Uwamahirwe has scored ten times.

In other league games, second placed APR play league debutants Ruhango, Bugesera host Inyemera, Muhoza take on Rambura, while Aspej travel to Les Lionnes.
