RUBAVU will host the first phase of this year’s sitball and sitting volleyball ball competitions that are due to start next weekend. Eight teams have lined up for the men’s title and they include; Huye, Kivu, THT, Intwari, UNR, Gatagara (Butare) Gatagara (Nyanza) and Gicumbi, while the ladies fray will comprise of four clubs-Kivu, THT, Kigali Stars and Intwari.

The second phase will take place in Butare while the 3rd and 4th phases will take place in Nyanza and Kigali respectively.
The technical director of the National Paralympic Committee Eric Karasira expects a competitive tournament this year.

The World Cup will be staged in the US in July.
