RWAMAGANA – A group of visiting Ethiopians from various organisations in Ethiopia, have praised development projects initiated by residents in Rwamagana district.
They were in Rwamagana to visit African Evangelistic Enterprise funded projects on Wednesday.
Mulengata Gebru, the Executive Director Jerusalem Community Development Organisation, based in Addis Ababa, said that he was impressed by the level of ownership of development projects.
"I salute AEE Rwamagana for the work they have been doing to empower the vulnerable,” he said. "But above all, I am excited by the attitude of people towards change.”
The coordinator of AEE Rwamagana branch, Ezekiel Rukema, told the visitors that apart from their primary role of preaching, they have managed to aid many vulnerable groups.
He attributed their success to government support which enable smooth implementation of development projects.
"There are streamlined structures through which we work to reach the remotest communities. The people’s attitude too, is encouraging,” he said.
Immaculate Gasengayire, the National Coordinator of Self Help Group Approach in Rwanda, stressed the importance of helping the vulnerable.
Divine Gasengayire, one of the beneficiaries, thanked the AEE for its contribution which he said has restored hope to the poor.
