Are you obsessed with movies? Head to Cine Star Cinema in Nyamirabo, and watch your favourite movies from Friday to Sunday on a big screen.

Friday

7p.m:Contrat sur  un Terroriste (French).

High school student Dawn works hard at suppressing her budding sexuality by being the local chastity group’s most active participant. Her task is made even more difficult by her bad boy stepbrother Brad’s increasingly provocative behaviour.

9 p.m: Babel (English)

Babel is a 2006 film directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu and written by Guillermo Arriaga, starring an ensemble cast. The multi-narrative drama completes González Iñárritu’s Death Trilogy, which also consists of Amores perros and 21 Grams.

Babel portrays multiple stories taking place in Morocco, Japan, Mexico and the United States.

SATURDAY

7p.m:  Avatar (French).

Avatar is this year’s movie that people who think they’re smart love to hate. And I guess I think I’m smart, so here goes. If Avatar was made without ridiculous mind-blowing visual effects technology, it would’ve been nearly universally panned.

SUNDAY

7p.m: The Counterfeiter (French).

The Counterfeit Traitor reveals the shocking true story of Eric Erickson (William Holden), a Swedish-American businessman blackmailed by British Intelligence into posing as a Nazi sympathizer while actually spying for Allied forces.

9 p.m: Surrogate (English).

"Surrogates” is at its best when the focus moves away from plot and toward set design. It’s a fascinating world that director Jonathan Mostow has created: The surrogates have a plastic like sheen that differentiates them from the "meat bags,” who refuses to jack into the system.
