Word has it that the sports industry is preparing for a mega wedding. Rwanda’s football ace Jimmy Gatete will tie the knot with his long-time fiancé, this Saturday March 6. The 27-year-old Amavubi striker is currently playing for the Ethiopian 1st division club, St George. Gatete is one of Rwanda’s most talented footballers. He is also feted for helping Rwanda qualify for the first time to the African Cup of Nations’ finals, which took place in Tunisia in 2004.

Gatete is one of Rwanda’s most talented footballers. He is also feted for helping Rwanda qualify for the first time to the African Cup of Nations’ finals, which took place in Tunisia in 2004.
Gatete’s football career has made him famous in the region and beyond. He has played for major Rwandan clubs like; APR F.C, Rayon Sport, Mukura, and South Africa’s Maritzburg United.
Last weekend Gatete made his new club proud when he scored a goal in a friendly against his former club APR F.C.
Meanwhile, a close relative of his (who preferred anonymity) revealed that Gatete is so thrilled, and could not wait to marry his fiancé.
