Editor,

Despite the global financial crisis, which hit Dubai World quite hard, I’m happy to know that the Nyungwe National Park Eco-lodge is soon operational. This is particularly pleasing because the Eco-lodge will boast a presidential suite and 24 villa rooms.

This new five star hotel will not only raise the profile of Nyungwe National Park, as a tourist destination but will also raise the profile of Rwanda as a tourist destination.

The 25 million dollar investment is a harbinger of things to come. Personally, as a Rwandan national, I can hardly wait to sample all the delights of the Nyungwe Park and the hotel, which is surrounded by Gisakura Tea Estate and will be one of the biggest eco lodges in Africa.
