Efforts to curb music piracy are welcome

Editor,

I have learnt with great joy that people who are into pirating music stand a risk of being arrested by authorities. In Rwanda and Africa at large, this problem is common in society but most of the time the crackdown on such offences is rare.

This is in fact one of the reasons why our music industry may delay to show progress yet a lot of effort is put into song composition and recording. People in the music industry deserve their efforts’ worth just like other people in other professions.

In this regard I would like to express my gratitude and add that this is a sure way to enable our musicians especially the upcoming ones to nurture their talent.
