El-Amal vs Atraco
ATRACO coach Sam Timbe has criticised El-Amal’s mafia tactics ahead of Sunday’s Orange Confederation Cup return leg in Sudan.
The Ugandan tactician believes that El-Amal is employing negative methods to derail his team before Sunday’s clash.
"We have received word that we shall travel to Atbara (venue of the match) on Saturday, just a day before the match.”
"Personally, I see this as a ploy by the hosts to fatigue my team,” said the 50-year-old.
Timbe also has concerns over the match officials from Somalia.
Atraco arrived in Khartoum yesterday and will have two training sessions before heading south-400km from Khartoum.
The last time Atraco played in Sudan, the team stunned everyone when they lifted the 2009 Cecafa Club Championship after a 1-0 victory over El-Merreikh in the final.
They become the second local team (after Rayon Sport) to win the competition on foreign soil.
With a healthy first leg lead (2-0), Atraco need a draw of any kind to progress to the second round, where they will play either Costa do Sol (Mozambique) or Uniao Flamingo Santos of Botswana.
