But in Kampala, Habiyambere knows that it will be a lot tougher after learning that Uganda’s tennis ace Duncan Mugabe is competing in the competition. Mugabe missed the first two legs because he was playing in the Egyptian F3 Futures.
"Duncan is a top quality player. We have seen him improve over the years and he definitely brings a new challenge to the competition,” he said before adding, "But I have been playing good tennis lately and hope to keep my form going.”
Other Rwandans in the contest include the country’s top seed Jean Claude Gasigwa, Olivier Nkunda, Justin Ntaherenwa, Innocent Rukundo, Jean Pierre Niyongira, Christopher Kayitare, Mathew Uwizeyimana and Megan Ingabire in the ladies’ fray.
