RWANDA’S Orange Champions League representatives APR have embarked on a long journey for the return leg in Angola.
After being held to a 2-all draw by Angola’s Recreativo Desportivo do Libolo in the first leg at Nyamirambo stadium over a week ago, the army side knows that they need to be at their best to get the result they need to progress to the second round where they will play defending champions TP Mazembe of DRC.
A 26-man contingent, led by Ferwafa delegate Richard Gahonzire departs to Addis Ababa this afternoon ahead of tomorrow’s build-up game with Ethiopia’s football giants St. George.
APR’s Secretary General Adolphe Kalisa says that the match will gauge their readiness ahead of the return leg with Recreativo.
In the build-up to the first leg, APR hosted St. George in two friendlies; winning the first encounter 1-0 before losing the second (1-2).
